For Jurors’ Advocates
If you are interested in participating in jury outreach, here are some things that need to be done:
• Promote NHJury.com with flyers, billboards, T-shirts, placards, you name it.
• Create a New Hampshire specific trifold flyer that can be printed from this site and distributed. Meanwhile, FIJA brochures are already available.
• Join New Hampshire FIJA outreach on Facebook.
• Participate in jury outreach at the courthouse either nearest you or in your jurisdiction. Details of the 10 courts and their voir dires can be found under the ‘Locations’ tab. Note that jury selection is occasionally skipped for a month, or postponed a day (such as to Tuesday when the first Monday is a holiday), so you might want to call the court to verify their schedule.
We recommend that teams of two or three activists participate in the jury outreach in front of each courthouse. It’s as simple as asking arrivals, “Jury Duty? This is for you.” Place the flyer in each prospective juror’s hand. You might also want to give them to defendants, defense attorneys, or anyone who asks for one. We’ve found that some 95% of the prospective jurors will accept the flyer in question.
